Since 1973, Lavon has been providing auditing, assurance, business consulting and tax services to various commercial companies, non-profit organizations and credit unions. In addition, he provides estate planning and tax services to business owners, executives and high net worth individuals and families. He specializes in credit union auditing and consulting with over thirty years of extensive experience in this area. He previously served on the firm's executive committee and as Managing Partner from 1995 thru 2003. Lavon is a current member and past president of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Jacksonville Chapter, and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He serves as a trustee for the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, on the board of directors of Builders Care and as a trustee and treasurer of Florida Christian College. Lavon earned a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University in 1968. Prior to joining the firm in 1973, Lavon served as an officer in the United States Army and was an auditor at Price Waterhouse. When Lavon is away from the office he enjoys spending time with his family, church and community service activities and fishing.
