Since 1982, Ed has been providing financial and investment planning, business consulting and tax services to commercial companies, estates, trusts, business owners, executives and high net worth individuals and families. He is the founder and the President of River Capital Advisors, L.C. (RCA), a Registered Investment Advisory firm affiliate of Smoak, Davis & Nixon LLP. Ed serves on the firm's executive committee and is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Planning Association. In addition to being a Florida licensed CPA, he is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner (CFP®), Personal Financial Specialist through the AICPA and a Registered Investment Advisor with the Securities & Exchange Commission. In 1982, he earned a B.S. in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University. When Ed is away from the office he enjoys spending time with his family, community service activities, traveling and is an avid Jacksonville Jaguar fan.
